Healthy Seniors Program
Mission
To improve the health and well-being of immigrant and refugee Southeast Asian seniors by conducting a community health needs assessment leading to the development of a culturally competent chronic disease prevention program in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Target Population
Seniors from all different ethnic groups are welcomed but our target population is Asian seniors who are:
- At least 50 years old
- Residents of Riverside & San Bernardino Counties
*Asian American Resource Center does not refuse services to any ethnic group or individual who lives outside of the Inland Empire.
Program Benefits
- Free health screenings and education for:
- diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, vision problems
- Free lunch for clients during the workshops
- Free childcare
Upcoming Workshops!
Our health screenings and health education workshops are held on a monthly basis at our facility in San Bernardino. We encourage you to sign-up as soon as possible as spaces are limited for each workshop and spots fill up quickly.
